Unveiling the Remnants – Part 2

My experience with the remnants of the supernova that formed the emission beauties in the Cygnus Loop continued. Here is the iconic Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992). This is perhaps the brightest section of the Cygnus Loop. A fun fact: the source star of the supernova that occurred around 8,000 years ago is said to have been about 20 times more massive than the Sun. Mind blowing!!!

Wait…there’s more. The Veil Nebula (Cygnus Loop) is said to be expanding at a rate of 1.5 million kilometers per hour. Read that again…

Guiding: Svbony 30mm f/4 + ASI120MC
