Here is my 2022 version of the Rosette Nebula in the constellation of Monoceros (NGC 2237). As a recap, the Rosette Nebula is located about 5,219 light years away Earth. The nebula is a hydrogen emission region located in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way core, which is associated with the open star cluster in the center (NGC 2244). The below images show the progression from my very first attempt to capture this Rose, and subsequent versions. I am happy with the progress. It’s no doubt that I will continue to look up and experience an amazing Universe!

Nice job as usual! Boy, this one really pops out! I guess it’s the hydrogen that pops out as the red, but you sure got a lot more out of this picture than the ones before.
The others are not bad and I like some of the different star colors in the October 2020 shot, but this one is really got a lot of texture to it. You just keep on getting better and better!
With my visual 6-in I always enjoyed looking at Star clusters. Since Newtonians don’t show any false color, I was always amazed at the variation in the color of the Stars. I was also able to get up to pretty close to 200x on nights of good seeing, so splitting very close pairs of double Stars was always an interesting evening’s entertainment!

Yea this one definitely shows how much I have learned regarding capturing and even proper equipment. The integration time is also something I didn’t know about, so the discipline has really improved. I may add some more time to this one including capturing RGB data for star color. Let’s see 😊. Thank you much.
