The Mill-ky Way

It’s safe to say that the Milky Way season is officially back in full swing in the Northern Hemisphere. And what do you do when the Milky Way season is here? Well… you shoot the Milky Way πŸ˜‰.

Here is my first image of the Milky Way for 2023. This rendition is a capture of the Milky Way galactic core from the inside of the Mt. Healthy National Park (the Mill). I got to the site at about 3:44am, just in time for this perfect alignment of the core in the field of view of the top of the Mill, creating an intriguing scenery. I took this golden opportunity to look up and I definitely experienced an amazing Universe 😊. Stay tuned!

Gear: Canon 77D, Rokinon 10mm

Exif: Sky – 11 frames at 25 secs exposure, f/2, ISO 6400. Mill – 1 frame at 25 secs, f/2, ISO 3200.

APP, PixInsight, Photoshop.

A really great shot and definitely one of a kind! (Amazing how you just happened to have an old historic abandoned Sugar Mill in your “backyard” 🀣🀣).
