A Panoramic Milky Way

This journey took me to a ‘closer and longer’ look at the Milky Way inner galactic core. Well maybe not such a closer, but definitely a longer look. This image of our galaxy’s core is a 17-panel mosaic shot at a 50mm focal length. Each panel consists of 3 one-minute captures of adjoining sections of the galaxy, that were stacked to reduce excess noise (total of 51 minutes of integration). The 17 panels were then stitched to create an amazing panorama.

Gear: Canon 77D + 50mm + iOptron Skyguider Pro

EXIF: 17 panels each consisting of 3 subs @ 1-minute exposure, f/1.8, ISO 1600; Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker; stitched in Microsoft ICE; processed in PixInsight, Photoshop
