Princess of the Sky

The Andromeda Galaxy lies at approximately 2.5 million light years away from Earth and it is the closest large galaxy to our Milky Way Galaxy. It is located in the constellation of Andromeda. I know that this galaxy has risen in the sky when I see the iconic W of the constellation Cassiopeia. Under dark skies M31 can be seen as a fuzzy patch to the naked eyes. It is yet another wonder of the night skies that must be experienced!
