Here is a close up of the other member of the Heart and Soul pair in the constellation of Cassiopeia you have met in a recent…well partially 😊 (see below). Meet Westerhout 5, aka the Soul Nebula, which is located in the Perseus spiral arm of the Milky Way core. This target is an emission nebula containing several small open star clusters. It is located about 6,000 light years away from Earth and is said to measure 580 light years across. I would humbly submit a renaming of the nebula… how about the Puppy Nebula, because it sure does resemble a little puppy 😊. Remember to look up and experience an amazing Universe!
