Cloudy skies, drenched in rain. Hidden stars, even as the moon wanes. Astrophotography? No complaints!
I was told when life sends you a lemon you make lemonade. Well with the disappointment of several weeks of clouds culminating in a thunderstorm last night, the sky was filled with electrifying fireworks. I grabbed my DSLR and attempted to capture a lightning strike. I took over 100 eight-second images and much to my surprise I was able capture a whopping 4 images that had a strike in it. It was my first time capturing a lightning strike. The images are the results of this experience.
Canon 77D, focal length 24mm, exposure 8 seconds, f/5.6, ISO 200

Just goes to show: “Timing is Everything” 🤭
🤣🤣🤣 I fully agree.
This capture is amazing!!!
Thank you very much. It was truly an experience.
